Here are Macaroni KID Frederick's picks for the five things to do in Frederick and Mt. Airy with kids this week. Click on the links for all the details!
1. Elementary Explorers: Animal Adaptations - All About Reptiles!
This week - Get ready to scale up the fun! K–5 kids will discover how reptiles survive with cool adaptations like scales and camouflage, all while making fun, reptile-themed crafts and activities.
Children will customize cardboard box cars and drive them to the "drive-in" theater to see a kid-friendly feature film. Boxes and decorating supplies will be provided. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
Celebrate Music in Our Schools Month with Musical Instrument Bingo! Discover the instrument families, while playing Bingo with your own family, and earn some musical prizes!
4. Sunday Funday: Create & Craft a Leprechaun Trap
Join us for a hands-on library program where kids will design and build their very own leprechaun traps. Using recyclables and everyday craft materials, participants will imagine clever ways to lure these tricky little visitors - and maybe catch one in the act. Get ready for a little mischief and a lot of creativity!
Build your own mini library! Create tiny books and bookshelves featuring your favorite titles to design a miniature world of stories.
